About me
As a nurse practitioner, I work to satisfy the health concerns of my patients and partner with them to develop a care plan for their care, so they can be confident in their health care decisions and goals. A good day at work means I’ve done everything I can to help my patients. Taking care of my patients and helping people with their health issues has always been my priority. For more than 20 years, I’ve seen patients from different countries and cultures. Learning about their health issues and their expectations has afforded me a better way to interact, make early preventive interventions and meet their needs. Since my childhood in Cuba, I’ve been interested in helping people in need. When I was 15 years old, my grandmother, a diabetic, began to suffer from renal failure. My entire family was involved in her care. Impressed with how the doctors treated her, I realized how important dedication to caring for a patient and supporting their family is. I moved to the U.S. in 2009, seeking a better place for my family and the opportunity to practice my profession. When I take off my coat, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing and helping my son with his homework. I consider motherhood my greatest achievement.
