Providing quality care to my patients is what drives me. At Sanitas, I work collaboratively to help them be as healthy they can. Being fluent in English and Spanish helps my patients feel comfortable talking with me in the language they prefer, which also helps develop trust. I want them to know that I have their best interests at heart, value their concerns and will work to address them. A good day at work is when I’ve been able to deliver quality care, made patients feel better and see that they are happy. Born in New York, I moved to Miami, Florida, when I was 13 and have lived here for almost 25 years. I learned that my mother was a nurse when I was six years old. We didn’t have child care services or school when I was growing up, so at times, I would have to go to work with her. Watching her care for her patients made me love with the field of medicine—I knew I wanted to make a difference in the lives and health of others. When I’m not working, I am a mother of four kids, wife to a fantastic husband and I love to cook.
