Providing great care for my patients at Sanitas is something I feel strongly about. I want them to feel that their opinions and concerns are heard and that I have their best interest in mind. I’ve always felt that the most important thing in someone’s life is their health. There’s nothing more beautiful than helping someone’s mother, father, son or daughter through a difficult time. Though fluent in English, I enjoy speaking Spanish with my patients who prefer it—my parents are Colombian and I grew up speaking Spanish in our home. A good day at work is when I can help as many patients as possible feel confident that their health is in good hands. Born in New York City, I grew up in Boynton Beach and am a Floridian at heart. Spending the majority of my young adulthood in Orlando, I fell in love with the community and friends I made there. I decided to go into medicine because I wanted to help people who were truly unfortunate or sick. When I was completing my master’s program, living in rural Appalachia exposed me to the hardships that much of the community suffers there. On the weekends, I enjoy going to cafes, bike riding around local parks and working on my Jeep. I also like trying new food recipes and dining with friends at great hole-in-the-wall restaurants. Hiking, camping and fishing are high on my list of things to do in my free time. Fascinated with cultures and languages—I minored in anthropology—I have a passion for backpacking in different countries and exploring their culinary and linguistic cultures. I also enjoy taking weekend vacations.
