I was born and raised in Cienfuegos, Cuba, and over the years I have lived and worked in Brazil and Spain, experiences that shaped me both personally and professionally. I came to the United States to support my mother during a difficult health situation, and over time I built my own family here and decided to continue my medical career in this country. Tampa, Florida is now the place I call home.
What drew me to medicine was the human side of it. Not just treating illness, but being present for people during vulnerable moments, listening, building trust, and sometimes becoming one of the few sources of support a patient has. A good day is when someone leaves feeling heard, a little less alone, and reassured that they are in good hands.
At Sanitas, I bring not only my medical training but the experience of caring for patients across very different communities and healthcare systems. Every person carries a unique story, and you deserve to be treated with dignity, patience, and genuine care.
Outside of work, I love losing myself in a good book, hiking in nature, and the quiet challenge of a chess game. Those moments help me reflect, recharge, and show up fully for my patients.
