As a nurse practitioner, I enjoy being a part of the urgent care medical team at Sanitas, working with patients to assess their needs and make treatment decisions. Urgent care is usually a busy place with high pressure situations. My skills, experience, a positive attitude and passion for helping keep me calm. Witnessing happiness and hearing words of gratitude from my patients during follow-up visits is very rewarding. After I graduated as a nurse in India, my home country, I worked at Escorts Heart Institute in New Delhi for two years. I dreamt of working in the U.S., so I immigrated to Florida in 2006 and now live in Miramar. After many years working as a registered nurse, I decided to become a nurse practitioner. I’m able to work more independently managing patients’ conditions, helping with prevention and advancing my skills. When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my family and friends. Making my life more colorful and meaningful, I enjoy traveling, trying new recipes, eating new foods, watching movies and attending social gatherings.
