As a family nurse practitioner at Sanitas, my patients are very important to me. A good day at work means having enough time to give each of them my full attention, not rushing through a visit, but connecting with them and hearing about their family or their day. Born and raised in the Bronx, Florida is now my home and I’m bilingual (English and Spanish). My health care career progressed from a patient service representative to medical assistant, community outreach coordinator, then to medicine. It was a privilege to work with distinguished community leaders and to learn about community needs from the residents and patients themselves. I returned to school, and several degrees later, became a family nurse practitioner and someone who cares about their patients as a whole and not just the one or two problems they're presenting. I'm very passionate about medicine but I am a creative at heart. In my free time, I love cooking, writing poetry and painting. Any kind of creative expression fills my soul.
