As a nurse practitioner at Sanitas, I provide patient-centered care and focus on disease prevention, living a healthy lifestyle and understanding my patients’ health concerns. I like to get to know my patients and listen to them so I can develop the right care plan. It’s a treat to communicate with my patients in my native Spanish, though I speak English as well. At the end of a visit, it’s gratifying to see when a patient is pleased with their care because of the smile on their face. Born in Cuba, I came to the U.S. for freedom and opportunity. I studied nursing in Miami Springs and enjoy living in south Florida. When I’m not working, I enjoy relaxing, going to the beach and seeing the beautiful Florida outdoors.
