I was born in Ukraine and came in the US as an adult. My background means that I am fluent in English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish. My mother is a physician. Her genuine engagement with patients and love of her work inspired me to study medicine too. A great day at work for me is when I know I’ve really helped my patients. One great experience for me was when one patient came to me complaining about sore throat, but since he also mentioned a slight chest pain, I recommended he do an EKG. The EKG revealed a more serious problem and the patient went to the hospital. After his treatment, he was told that if he hadn’t gone when I recommended, he probably would’ve died. There is nothing more rewarding knowing I helped save a patient’s life! I want our patients to know the amazing level of commitment Sanitas has to providing the best care. At Sanitas, we are allowed to have more time with our patients than is usual in many offices. That means I can treat my patients individually and thoroughly. I believe this approach truly impacts our patients’ health. My son is my first priority and my first passion when I get back from work is being his mom. We like to chat about my son’s education and interests. Currently, he wants to study seals and dolphins and likes to learn about science. I also enjoy playing tennis and in my extra time I like doing aerobics.
