I am from Santiago de Cuba where I was born and raised. I studied general medicine with a specialty in Nephrology while living there and became a doctor in Cuba for some time before moving to Costa Rica. While there, I received my medical degree while working for five years. I moved to the U.S. to pursue my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Florida where I also served as a Clinical Instructor for some years. While in school, a friend’s mother became seriously ill and watching her doctors care for her ignited my passion for medicine. Even as a child, I always played with medical toys with dreams of being a real doctor one day. I have practiced medicine for over 35 years, and this field is truly my passion and calling. A great day at work for me means that I have fully cared for each of my patients and helped improve their health and put them on the path towards getting better. Sanitas offers the best quality care for each of its patients and provides a variety of services, so each patient's needs are fully met. In my free time, I enjoy reading medical text, non-fiction, and literature. I also find peace in planting plants around my garden and home.
