As a licensed clinical social worker at Sanitas, I practice the BeWell program, providing high-quality care using the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), which reduces gaps in care and promotes early intervention. From personal experience, I understand the process and adjustments people are going through when immigrating to a new country and culture, which is helpful when assessing a new patient because they feel understood. Like many Venezuelans, the political situation there forced my family to emigrate. I moved to the U.S. in 2002 and live in Vero Beach. I speak English and Spanish, though I prefer English. When I’m not working, I love to hike, do my yoga practice, and spend time with my family.
