As a primary care doctor at Sanitas, my patients will receive excellent care from a multidisciplinary team and have access to a variety of programs that can improve their health. I try to put my patients at ease in communicating in the language they prefer, Spanish (my native language) or English. A good day at work means I’ve made an impact in a patient's life. It feels special knowing that I played a role restoring a patient’s health and relieving their pain.
I was born and raised in Cienfuegos, Cuba. My sense of compassion and desire to help people lead me to medicine as a career. I loved learning about the human body and biology from an early age. I was also motivated by my father, a physician, and am proud to follow in his footsteps. I received my medical school degree in 1995 and practiced medicine until I moved to the United States in 1999, which is the place I now call home.
When I take off my coat, I love to spend time with my family, travelling and exercising.
