As a nurse at Sanitas, I offer attention, compassion and quality service to my patients. I enjoy collaborating with the medical team, which is the primary reason for our profession––providing care with dedication, love, and quality to our community. A good day at work means I’ve encouraged my patients and helped them feel better. I love to help people, especially when they are vulnerable during illness and healing, so I became a medical doctor with a degree in anesthesiology. I emigrated to Venezuela where I worked as an anesthesiologist for over a decade. Born and raised in Cuba, I came to the U.S. in 2005 to find freedom I hadn't found in other countries. While earning my nursing degree, I worked at Sanitas in Hillsborough where I learned to service a multicultural community. I’m now a nurse and certified family nurse practitioner at Sanitas. In my personal time, I enjoy time with my family and pets, and I find it relaxing to work in the garden.
