About me

As a family nurse practitioner at Sanitas, my patients' health is my priority. It's important to me to have a good work environment where my patients feel comfortable, listened to and valued. It's a good day at work for me when my team communicates effectively and prioritizes providing the best service to my patients—and when my patients let me know they feel cared for, and in improved outlook and health. I wanted to serve the community, have always been inclined to help people, and fell in love with nursing during my first semester as a student. I still read nursing books and always learn something.

I was born in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba and moved to Miami, Florida, in 2005 to begin my nursing career. For the past sixteen years, I have lived in the Hialeah area. Being Cuban, I can speak to patients in both Spanish, my first language, and English. I understand a lot of immigrant patients’ culture and can communicate with them in a way that makes them feel understood. Because of my connection to the community, I can educate patients on how to make better health decisions for themselves and their families.

When I take off my coat, I value spending quality time with my family. I enjoy reading, preferable so I can learn something new. Gardening is a delight and my favorite plants to keep are beautiful orchids.
