About me

As a family nurse practitioner at Sanitas, I provide holistic services to improve my patient’s health and satisfaction. My priority is my patients and providing them with respect and high-quality care. A good day at work means making a positive impact on my patients’ health. It's a great reward to make them feel better. I decided to go into medicine because I've always felt a passion for helping others. Medicine was the perfect career that matched my personality and is an ideal way to spread my passion through my vocation.

Born and raised in Pinar del Rio, Cuba, my native language is Spanish, but I'm also fluent in English. I graduated from the University of Havana as a medical doctor in 2001, later obtaining specialties in family medicine in 2004 and ophthalmology in 2007. In addition, I also learned French prior to going to work in Haiti in 2002. I migrated to this fantastic country, the United States of America, with my family in 2015 in search of a better future.

When I take off my coat, I love to spend time with my daughter and husband. I also enjoy reading, the challenge of sudoku puzzles, and traveling to enrich my knowledge and appreciation of other cultures and civilizations.
