I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I am a proud first-generation Cuban American, and my family sacrificed almost everything to pursue new opportunities in America. I chose to pursue a career in medicine because I believed it was a profession that would challenge me to be my best all while giving me the chance to make a difference in the community. I particularly love pediatrics because children are very resilient and their strength and hope puts a smile on my face every day. A good day at work for me is when I get to spend plenty of time with my patients and teach them about preventative pediatrics. In my free time, I enjoy spending time near the ocean, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
