As a behavioral health counselor with the BeWell program at Sanitas, I’m here to listen and support my patients and help them develop strategies to improve their lives. When they find a safe place to talk about their emotions and problems and leave their appointment feeling that there is hope, it’s a good day. My patients can feel comfortable speaking with me in English or Spanish. Born in Chicago, Illinois, I grew up in Colombia, and have made my home in Florida since 2006. I wanted to go into mental health to help others develop coping skills to manage their emotions in a healthier way. I’ve been working in this field since I was an occupational therapist. On my days off, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling.
