As a nurse practitioner at Sanitas, I’m patient-focused. I care about their needs and take time to listen. A good day at work is when I can help a patient do better, like showing them ways to reduce medications or how to save on medication costs. Born in Rhode Island, I moved to Florida in 1991 and have been living in Lakeland for 24 years. I decided to go into the medical field because I love helping people get well and am happy to learn of their successes of getting off medications because of simple things that I’ve taught them. It’s very rewarding. When I’m not working, I travel and spend time with my family. We adopted four children, in addition to our biological son, and now we have two grandsons. We live to rescue animals. My bucket list includes seeing all amazing places I see on my computer’s screen saver, but until then, I enjoy watching our kids play in the high school band and sports events.
