I was born in Cebu City, Philippines, and moved to the US when I was 3 years of age. My parents were doctors (Dad was an anesthesiologist and Mom was a psychiatrist), it was inevitable that I would have an interest in medicine and in helping people who are sick. I earned my Master of Clinical Medical Sciences (MCMSc) degree in 2005 and Physician Assistant certification in 2006 and speak English and Spanish fluently. In fact, some of my medical curriculum was given in Medical Spanish, which I loved and was able to excel in. I’ve always cared for my patients’ well-being and abide by the golden rule of treating others the same as I would want for my own family members or myself. I continue to be active in my passion for learning and practicing medicine. Any time I can make a difference in my patient’s health for the better, I consider it a good day. It’s essential to educate my patients about their condition and any therapy needed for improvement or even resolution of the condition. When not working, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife and 4 children. I love to go to the beach and enjoy the surf and sand, as well as going to the theme parks like Disney, Universal Studios or Sea World. I have 2 mottos to live by: first, “Treat others as you would like to be treated” and second, “Live, Love and Laugh”.
