About me

As a doctor at Sanitas, I work with my patients to promote better health and wellness by providing high quality care in a compassionate environment. My team and I treat patients like family. A good day at work means that I had the privilege of helping them feel better by spending time with them, educating them and their families, and helping them improve their health in every way possible. Being bilingual helps me communicate better with my diverse patients—I'm fluent in both English and Spanish, my native language.

Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, I went to medical school there and completed my residency in pediatrics. I’ve always had a strong compassion for others and felt a sense of duty to help people in need, so medicine was my career choice. The years I’ve spent dedicated to medicine have been the most fulfilling of my life. I fled Cuba in 1994 in pursuit of fulfilling my professional goals. Before arriving in the United States, I spent six months in Guantanamo Bay serving the local population where I was reassured in my ability to provide the best health care possible. I have since returned “home” to Florida and look forward to continuing work with my patients taking care of their conditions.

When I take off my coat, I like to travel with my wife, spend time with family and friends, swim, and ride my bike.
