As a nurse practitioner at Sanitas, my patients are my priority and I’m committed to caring for them. I like to get to know them and develop trust and a rapport that makes it easier to determine treatment plans that will work best each person. It’s a good day at work when a sick patient leaves feeling better and are happy with their care. The love of medicine runs in my family. My father, a doctor, was a strong influence on my decision to go into medicine as a career. I was born and raised in Cuba and graduated as a physician there. When I came to the U.S., I became a nurse practitioner. Bilingual in English and Spanish, I can easily help patients who speak either language. When I’m not working, I like to enjoy my family. Time with them is precious.
