About me

As a family nurse practitioner at Sanitas, I give my patients focused attention to help prevent and reverse diseases through wellness education, making great food choices, and encouraging them to stay active to improve their lifestyles. I put my patients at ease and can communicate in either Spanish, my native language, or English. A great day at work is when I see my patients improving. It always rewarding to have coached them to health and to have been a part of their new healthy lifestyle.

Born and raised in Venezuela, I graduated from Zulia University in Maracaibo as a medical doctor. Two years later, I moved to the United States, where I continued my passion for healthcare by becoming a nurse practitioner. Because of my deep love for medicine and people, I want to always provide excellent patient care. I decided to go into medicine because, as a child, I was fascinated with it. At seven years old, I had severe asthma and visited many doctors seeking opinions and treatment. I always remember the doctor who treated me with care and concern. His example of kindness taught me that it's a special gift to be a health provider. He's served as a strong influence and a role model for the course of my life.

When I take off my coat, I like to keep practicing what I preach. I enjoy going to the gym and preparing my own meals rich in fresh, in-season fruits and vegetables. I also love to practice meditation and kundalini yoga every day, to relieve stress and for better sleep.
