Yelena Abitol, APRN

As a nurse practitioner at Sanitas, I'm part of a dedicated team that works with compassion and provides a wealth of medical knowledge while giving each patient the individual attention that they need to succeed. A good day at work for me is when I can finish my day with a smile knowing that I helped my patients make progress through my approach and plans. To me, there is nothing as rewarding as hearing a patient tell me that I helped them get better.

I was born in Russia but have been living in the United States for the last 18 years. I enjoy living in Florida because I can practice my Spanish every day. I chose to pursue a career in medicine to help others. Primary care is my favorite because every day is different and I have the chance to build long-term relationships with my patients.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my two amazing kids. Along with medicine, I also have a passion for cooking and fitness. I enjoy practicing hatha yoga which helps me stay healthy and fit.
