As a nurse practitioner at Sanitas, I always strive to build long-term relationships with my patients. A good day at work means I've helped my patients reach their personal health and wellness goals.
I was born and raised in Arkansas and lived in Texas for a decade. Collierville, TN, has been my home for the past 20 years. I've worked in the ER, ICU step-down, critical care, trauma unit, medical-surgical units, neurology, urology, oncology, same-day surgery, recovery room, and GI lab before becoming a nurse practitioner. I decided to go into medicine when I was five because I noticed how the nurse cared for my mom before she died. I knew I wanted to be just like her when I grew up so I could help take good care of people.
When I take off my coat, I am an active board member at my church and the vice president of my health ministry. I love volunteering to help others. I’m also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) Sorority, a service organization.
