About me

As a family nurse practitioner at Sanitas, my goal is for my patients to receive knowledgeable, meticulous and concerned care. I listen to them and want them to be comfortable communicating with me, so they can speak either Spanish, my first language, or English—I'm fluent in both, A good day at work includes collaborating with other staff members and making a significant contribution to my patients’ well-being across different ethnic and age groups.

I was born and raised in Havana, Cuba, to a family of healthcare practitioners. My father, uncle and grandfather were all medical doctors, and my grandmother was a pharmacist. I decided to go into medicine because I developed an interest in healthcare at an early age, most likely due to the influence of the medical professionals in my family. I was always impressed by their concern and dedication to their field. I became a medical doctor and practiced in Havana for thirteen years before arriving in the United States in 2006.

When I take off my coat, I enjoy spending my free time with my family and friends.
