About me

I was born and raised in Lima, Peru, moved to California in 1993 and then to New York to complete my residency training in Family Medicine. While it was a tremendous personal and professional challenge to go through this life change, it was incredibly enriching and rewarding as well.  I thank my family for their constant support during this time.

As far back as I can remember, I knew I wanted to become a doctor. It was part of my childhood games. As I grew up, there were two main reasons why I chose this vocation, the privilege to make a difference in my patients’ lives and the opportunity to teach them how to become healthier.

I decided to join Sanitas because I share the belief that comprehensive primary care is how to keep patients and communities healthy. At Sanitas, we get more time to spend with our patients so we can truly listen, get to know them and educate them. We also are able to care for Hispanic patients in a unique way and in their language.

A good day at work means being able to ease the concerns and fears that my patients may have about their health, help them see the problems and find the solutions that would work for them. It also means to go to sleep at night with the peace of mind that I did the best I could for them.

In my free time, I spend quality time with my family. I also love traveling and photography, seeing the world through a lens and capturing special moments and places.
