About me

I grew up in Russia and came to New York to complete my medical training in internal medicine. While the decision to leave home is never an easy one—saying goodbye to friends and family and moving to a new country to start all over again—it is absolutely worthwhile when you believe that what you do has a positive impact on peoples life.
I pursued medicine to create a better world. It's a privilege and honor to help my patients get healthier. I believe in health as a partnership with my patients by becoming their champion, leadingby example with my own habits and working together as they make long-lasting lifestyle changes.
At Sanitas, we believe that successful disease prevention requires a model that fosters a strong doctor-patient relationship. Thats why we spend more time with our patients to get to know them well and address the underlying causes of disease and what we need to do together to prevent it.
When I take off my coat, I go on nature walks.  Sometimes I get out to enjoy nature by leaving "civilization" to go for a hike in a nature preserve.  But oftentimes, it's as simple as a walk in my own neighborhood.
