As a mental health counselor at Sanitas, I listen to my patients and am committed to supporting patients from different cultures. Because I’m from another country and culture, I understand the frustrations of adjusting to a new one. Being from Brazil, I was curious about other cultures. My husband was transferred by the American company he worked for, so I had the opportunity to move to the U.S. where I’ve learned to develop flexibility and resilience to face challenges and obstacles. I was able to achieve my goal of becoming a mental health counselor and can offer my support to others. I love helping people and learning as much as I can. On my days off, I exercise to relax and enjoy spending time with my family.
