As a nurse practitioner at Sanitas, my patients receive the best care possible. They have a voice and I listen. My patients will find that I’m empathetic and provide the care they need in their language, Spanish or English. While Houston is where I call home, I came to the U.S. from Cuba for better opportunities and in search of the American dream. Graduating from medical school in Cuba, I went to Venezuela and Colombia before arriving in the here in 2014. There’s a long lineage of doctors in my family, which we are very proud of, so it was just natural that I become one. And I was always curious about disease processes and treatments. When I take off my coat, I love spending time with my daughters, watching a great movie and cooking.
