As the medical director and a doctor at Sanitas, it's important for my team and me to have a relationship with our patients that addresses more than just a medical problem. It’s having a connection that provides comfort and understanding. It's also important to me that patients feel heard and that they understand the healthcare information they’ve received. Every day at work is rewarding. The simplest things, such as listening, can change someone's day. A first-generation Greek, I was born and raised in Toronto. My family moved to Florida to reunite with family who also moved to the states from Greece. I’ve lived all around Florida and am fluent in English and speak Spanish and Greek. I wanted to become a doctor to help others live the healthiest life possible. I live by three important rules: Live with the intention of service and significance; live with daily gratitude; and live and practice spirituality to sustain and remind me of my purpose to help humanity and the world around us. Outside of my job, I enjoy ethnic cuisine, exercising, movies, TV shows, playing with my dog, outdoor activities and traveling.
