About me

I was born and raised in Cuba, where I practiced medicine as a physician. In 2001, I moved to the United States and I am now practicing as a nurse practitioner. Growing up, I always knew I wanted to practice medicine. I wanted to serve my community and give back as much as I could. A good day at work for me is making significant progress with a complicated case. It’s a very satisfying feeling to be able to crack a difficult case, even if just a little.

I want my patients to know that at Sanitas, we care about developing a strong, trusting relationship with our patients. When someone makes an appointment to see me that tells me that they trust my knowledge and judgment to manage their health. It’s something I appreciate deeply and do not take lightly.

When I take off my coat, you can find me reading about history, particularly literature on World War II. It’s a very popular topic of discussion in my household, especially since my daughter is studying Political Science.
