About me

I was born in Granada, Nicaragua and moved to Canada after medical school. While in Canada I worked as a research assistant in Toronto General Hospital and Sunnybrook Hospital. From there I applied for residency in New York in 2000 and began practicing medicine in the U.S. in Central Florida where I worked in Urgent Care and opened my family medicine practice. I can speak fluent English and Spanish which helps me communicate with a wide range of patients.

My passion for medicine began when I met a doctor in Nicaragua while he was caring for my mother. I was fascinated with the work he did, and that fascination carries on to this day. In medicine, you have the opportunity to learn about almost everything while also helping people.

A great day for me is seeing my patients not only feel better but also educating them on the field and their personal health. Sanitas offers a team of physicians that come from a variety of different backgrounds around the world. This international approach allows us to provide the best possible care for our patients.

When I take off my lab coat, I enjoy playing basketball, hockey, golf, tennis, and soccer. I also enjoy spending time with my family and kids.
