About me

As a physician assistant at Sanitas, I provide my patients with compassionate care and treat them like family. I take the time to listen to them and create individualized care. A good day at work means I was able to make a difference in my patients’ lives by improving their health. I also enjoy educating my patients and answering their questions to help them understand their conditions. My patients can be comfortable communicating with me in English, my first language, or Spanish, and I can have quick conversations in French.

I was born and raised in Coral Springs, Florida. My mother is from Ecuador, and growing up, I would spend my summers teaching English at an elementary school in Guayaquil as well as volunteering at the local ER. I grew up with my grandmother who only spoke Spanish. I also studied French for four years in high school. I received my undergraduate degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, then worked at John Hopkins Hospital doing clinical research before attending PA school at the University of Florida. Next, I spent four years working in urgent care in CA. I decided to go into medicine while working closely with many physicians during clinical research. I became more interested in direct patient care and decided to pursue my passion in medicine.

When I take off my coat, I love spending time with my husband and two dogs. I also enjoy reading and bike riding.
