About me
I was born in Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela and moved with my family to Belize when I was five years old. Belize is multicultural and I did not grow up with an affluence to America so I can relate to many immigrants. I eventually arrived in Houston, Texas when I was sixteen years old and lived in the Westbury area adjacent to Meyerland. I drove past the clinic area to attend the University of Houston every day. I am fluent in English and can also write and speak Spanish. I decided to go into medicine because my brother’s schizophrenia had a profound impact on me. I have personally experienced serious medical illness with my son, husband, nephew, and brother witnessing the grieving of a life lost and the jubilation of a life preserved. I want to teach and empower my patients to take control of their illnesses. A good day at work means that I delivered quality care to my patients and get to see them smile. I want you to know that at Sanitas, my patients will have the time needed to treat their problems. I will listen and answer all questions as well as be an advocate for them. I will use my medical knowledge to deliver the best care possible. When I take off my coat, I enjoy playing the piano however I am far from a concert pianist. I also enjoy gardening although I kill as many plants as I cultivate.
