About me

As a doctor at Sanitas, my patients will have the time needed to treat their problems. I'll listen and answer all questions as well as be an advocate for them. I'll use my medical knowledge to deliver the best care possible. A good day at work means that I delivered quality care to my patients and got to see them smile. Being bilingual, English and Spanish, helps me communicate better with a variety of patients.

Born in Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela, my family moved to Belize when I was five years old. Belize is multicultural, so I can relate to many immigrants, since I was one. I eventually arrived in Houston, Texas, when I was sixteen years old and lived in the Westbury area adjacent to Meyerland. I drove past the clinic area to attend the University of Houston every day. I decided to go into medicine because my brother’s schizophrenia had a profound impact on me. I have experienced serious medical illnesses with my son, husband, nephew and brother, witnessing the grieving of a life lost and the jubilation of a life preserved. I want to teach and empower my patients to take control of their illnesses.

When I take off my coat, I enjoy playing the piano, however, I am far from being a concert pianist. I also enjoy gardening, although I kill as many plants as I cultivate.
