Justina Ikimi, APRN

As a family nurse practitioner at Sanitas, my patients receive affordable, high-quality holistic care. A good day at work means I’ve helped my patients by getting them involved in their wellness and educating them on disease prevention and management for better health outcomes. 

Born and raised in Nigeria, I came to the U.S. over 37 years ago to further my education. Houston is now my home. I’m interested in diversity and learning about other cultures. In addition to English, I’m fluent in Yoruba, spoken in Nigeria, and am learning Spanish. I love to care for people. After 26 years as an RN with a background in acute, long-term care and home health/palliative care, I decided to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner to fulfill my passion for providing affordable care, to those underserved and to give back to the community that once cared for me. 

When I take off my coat, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking and listening to jazz music. I’m proud to be an influence on my two beautiful daughters who are also in the healthcare field.
