Caring for newborns to geriatric patients at Sanitas, I’m able to help people manage chronic and acute illnesses and practice preventative medicine. I enjoy getting to know my patients and listening to them, which can also help me figure out what’s at the core of their health issue so I can recommend a treatment plan. It’s a good day when my patients let me know they appreciate my care and their improved health. Flexibility in medical care and practice is a must. Throughout my career, I’ve gone from private practice to acquisition by corporations and have successfully transitioned from paper to electronic medical records. I’ve also enjoyed many years in a traditional family medicine practice. Along the way, I’ve been responsible for the supervision of both physician assistants and nurse practitioners, provided clinical rotations for medical students, and have been a company doctor for employees, treating work injuries and providing pre-employment physicals. I love being a Texan. Besides the delicious food, magnificent scenery and gorgeous bluebonnets, another plus about living in Texas: I get to learn Spanish.
