About me

I was born in New York to Puerto Rican parents, so I learned Spanish at home. I moved to Tampa seven years ago because most of my family lives or has retired here. It’s nice to share my new home with those I love.

Most of my family is in the medical field, so my fasciation started at a very early age. In fact, my first birthday memory is actually of my dad gifting me a microscope! I started working in a lab when I was in high school, but missed human interaction.  That’s when I decided to combine the best of both worlds and become a doctor.

What really makes my day is recognition from my patients—nothing is better than having a patient tell me they appreciate the care I provide.  A smile from a patient is the ultimate validation a doctor could ever ask for.

I think what makes Sanitas so special and so welcoming to patients is how we all work as a team, supporting each other to bring the best care for our patients. Here at Sanitas, we are more than just a team, we’re a family! I believe this translates into a much better overall experience for our patients and their families.

When I’m not at work, you can find me on the nearest rollercoaster. The rush that rollercoasters provide is unlike anything else—if I weren’t a doctor, I’d probably be a pilot.
