As a nurse practitioner (NP) at Sanitas, my patients are my priority. I treat them as family and my goals for them are that they live healthy, long and fulfilling lives. My focus is on primary prevention. However, I understand that there are things that happen out of a patient's control and I'm here to help. A good day at work means that my patients have left our meetings feeling confident in the care that they received, more educated about their medical plan, and ready to take charge of their health. Their smiles of thanks are very rewarding.
I was born in Manila, Philippines, and have had the opportunity to live in many different countries because my father worked in the oil industry. I speak both English and Tagalog fluently. Eventually, we settled in Houston twenty years ago and have never looked back. My family and I live in the Katy–Richmond area—we absolutely love it here. I decided to go into medicine because I love serving others. As an NP, I can directly impact the health of my patients and ensure that they meet their treatment and health goals. I've had the privilege to serve the greater Houston area as a NP for several years.
When I take off my coat, I love spending time with my large family, gardening, and caring for my guinea pigs and rabbits.
