I was born and raised in Havana, Cuba and can remember that I always enjoyed playing as a Doctor when I was a child and more importantly that I dreamed of becoming one. I became acutely aware of my childhood tendency to fill a caregiving role, and this has provided me the unique ability to invest myself fully into the health and wellbeing of others. My first language is Spanish, but I am also fluent in English as well. I decided to go into medicine because I love to help and connect with people, especially in their most vulnerable moments. Since I graduated and started practicing as a Primary Care Physician, I have invested myself in the holistic care and treatment of those I serve. A good day at work means I can support patients and their families in their times of need. It also means I work as part of a team that delivers personalized care to patients and go above and beyond making a difference in people’s lives. When I take off my coat, I like spending time with my family and friends doing things together such as traveling.
