About me

As a nurse practitioner at Sanitas, I'm a member of a caring team that puts patients first. I treat my patients like family, deliver personalized care and go above and beyond making a difference in their lives. A good day at work means I can support patients and their families in their times of need. Being bilingual is a big help in communicating with my patients who are only comfortable speaking Spanish, my first language. I'm also fluent in English.

I was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. When I was a child, I always enjoyed playing a doctor and dreamed of becoming one. I became acutely aware of my childhood tendency to fill a care-giving role, which has provided me the unique ability to invest myself fully into the health and well-being of others. I chose a medical career because I love to help and connect with people, especially in their most vulnerable moments. Since I graduated and started practicing as a primary care physician, I've invested myself in the holistic care and treatment of those I serve. Additional education in the U.S. has increased my knowledge and nursing skills.

When I take off my coat, I like spending time with my family and friends doing things together—traveling is so much fun when you can share the experiences.
