Geidy Rivers, APRN

As a nurse practitioner at Sanitas, I strive to make every visit count for my patients. I provide a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare to meet their needs. I specialize in psychiatry to be able to provide better care to my patients, especially those who also suffer from mental health conditions. I want my patients to feel at ease communicating with me and can speak the language they prefer, whether Spanish or English. A good day at work means that I’m able to care for my patients so they feel they are valued, heard and cared for, and treated with dignity and respect.  

Born in Cuba, I migrated to the U.S. when I was 8 years old and grew up in South Carolina, then moved to Tampa, FL, in 2006 my senior year. I call Tampa home.  

I decided to go into medicine because I want to make a difference in my community, particularly since the percentage of chronic conditions increases. I want to help bring these numbers down by providing education, as well as high-quality care for my patients.  

When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my family, travel and make memories that my children will cherish.
