As a nurse practitioner at Sanitas. I provide quality care to my patients and the community. Understanding what matters most to my patients when developing a preventive care plan is important, so I take extra time to listen and get to know them. Evaluating a patient’s lifestyle and what is affecting their health rather than just diagnosing is key to helping prevent chronic disease and achieving optimal health. A good day at work is seeing a patient’s health improve when they’ve followed the recommendations and treatment provided. I appreciate hearing that they’re pleased with the care they received.
I wanted to make a difference in the health and well-being of others, so I chose a career in medicine. After college, I moved to Knoxville and started my nursing career in intensive care. It’s also where I married, had a son, earned a master’s degree, and lived for 20 years. After working in internal medicine for nine years, I moved to Nashville in 2020. Tennessee is home to me, no matter what part of the state we live in.
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and I really like traveling to watch my son play baseball. I also like going to concerts, gardening and exercising.
