I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia and moved to South Florida as a teenager. I lived in Tampa for a few years before returning to South Florida where I now call home. I speak both Spanish and English fluently which helps me serve more members of the diverse community. I can also have basic conversations in Portuguese and French. I decided to go into medicine because both of my parents were physicians. Their genuine love for their work and the care they provided for their patients inspired me to pursue a career in healthcare. A good day at work means that at the end of the day I know that I’ve helped make a difference in the lives of my patients and their families. The opportunity to have a positive impact on my patients’ lives is a privilege that I never take for granted. When I take off my coat you can usually find me outdoors paddle boarding, biking, or running. I also enjoy traveling to experience new cultures and spending time with my loved ones in my free time.
