About me
I was born and raised in Cuba and graduated from Medical School in 2006. I then traveled to Venezuela in 2007 where I practiced as a Family Doctor. I finally moved to the United States in 2010 and decided to continue my passion for healthcare by becoming a Nurse and ultimately a Family Nurse Practitioner. I am currently studying for my DNP at Chamberlain University to gain a higher level of education. My native language is Spanish, but I am also fluent in English. I decided to go into medicine because I always had a passion for the profession even as a young child. I would play with medical equipment and always remember the compassion that my family’s doctor would show us. His example taught me that being a healthcare provider is a special gift and he had a great influence on my life. A good day at work means starting the day with a big smile and enjoying every second of the day as the staff and I work productively to meet the needs of our patients. I want you to know that at Sanitas we provide focused care to prevent and treat disease through wellness education, offering excellent healthy modes and lifestyles for all patients. When I take off my coat, I like to share time with my family and pet. I also enjoy walking for one hour a day and preparing my own meals rich in fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables. I also love to practice spinning to relieve stress and sleep better.
