I was born and raised in Cuba but moved to the United States in 2017. I chose to pursue a career in medicine because I have always been fascinated with science. In high school, that fascination moved towards the medical field because I wanted to help members of my community. A good day at work for me is when I can look back knowing that I made a positive change in somebody’s life. I want to look back years from now and know that I served as a role model for someone or inspired them to consider their health and they’re happier because of it.
