About me

I was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya.  After high school I had the honor of caring for my aunt who was terminally ill, and this experience awoke my keen interest in medicine.  I wanted to get the best education and my parents helped me achieve this dream here in the United States.  I came to the US in 2007 and called Dallas, Texas home for the next seven years while I pursed my nursing degree.  I was able to complete my BSN and then met my husband.  We moved to Houston in 2013 and this has been home ever since.  I have great passion in providing care to others and I enjoy being an advocate for all my patients.  I am a very patient person and a good listener.

I decided to go into medicine because of my experience caring for my terminally ill aunt.  She was diagnosed with AIDS and told that there was nothing that could be done for her.  She was brought home for palliative care until her time of passing, but with minimal resources I was able to administer her care and she slowly started improving.  Fast forward sixteen years later is she is still living her life.  This showed me the power of good medical care and I knew I wanted to pursue a career in healthcare so I could help others.

A good day at work means my patients’ needs have been met, they are heard and that they feel like they are being treated fairly and someone is advocating for them to ensure they meet their health goals.

I want you to know that at Sanitas you will be receiving holistic care.  At Sanitas we collaborate in house as needed to ensure your healthcare needs are met and my care for them as their provider will be unbiased quality care.

When I take off my coat, I love traveling with my family and cooking.
