I was born in Cuba. At a tender age of 10, I moved to Miami, United States with my family. I was inspired to study medicine from different sources but having to see my dad work as an intensive care physician kept the passion blooming. I am a firm believer that nobody knows the patients like themselves. I enjoy one on one time with patients and understanding their needs. Helping patients becoming healthier and giving them advice as to what is in their best interest is never tiring. I believe the reward comes from connecting with different people from all walks of life and gaining insights and experience that can make me a better health care professional. When patients ask me about Sanitas, I say we are like a big family. It’s good to have colleagues who share the same values and work ethics. We handle our patients with outmost care and give them maximum attention. When I take off my coat, I spend quality time with my young daughter. I enjoy working out, yoga and watching movies, especially thrillers, and investigation/criminal shows. The beach never stops hosting me for relaxations too.
