At Sanitas, I’m passionate about preventive care as the best way to improve wellness in our society. I strive to motivate my patients to stay active and I provide the same care I would a family member. Bilingual in Spanish and English, I enjoy talking with my patients in the language they prefer. It’s a good day when my team and I work to provide the highest quality care and improve the health of my patients. It also means being able to leave work without the need to take work home. Born in Colombia, I came to the U.S. seeking a better future when I was 14. I grew up in South Florida, but Tallahassee has been my home for the past 10 years. I decided to go into medicine because of my passion for helping others and improving their quality of life. Practicing medicine is a privilege that I take seriously. Medicine is a field that combines science, spiritualism, and humanism to influence a person’s life. Changing the world, one patient at a time is my motto. When I take off my coat, I’m a dedicated husband and father of three amazing kids. I enjoy running and being outdoors, and soccer is my favorite sport. In my free time, I enjoy a cup of Colombian coffee, reading a good book and keeping up with the news.
